Dear Everyone, 

 

With very mixed emotions I want to announce that I’m closing my practice, Providence Obstetrics & Gynecology. I am also closing The Service Station by Dr Felix. It has not ever been an easy endeavor, but it has always been a very rewarding one.  I have been truly enjoying my time away from hospital life. I’m continuing to build better relationships with my family and friends outside of the hospital and my private office.  I’m going to continue to build the life I hoped for and in doing so, I am closing my private practice to simplify my life and ultimately improve the quality of patient care. I am a much better Gynecologist than I am owner of a medical practice; In this next phase of my career I’ll be able to focus on being a Gynecologist only and I’m very excited about that.

 

All of our patient data will be archived with a HIPAA compliant company. As you find a replacement for your gynecologic care, I will be able to transfer records to that new office upon your request.

If you’d like some suggestions for Providers, here are some of my favorite: 

- Valerie Parker, MD; Eva Leinart,MD; and Kristin Salter, MD with Advanced Women’s Care. Their number is 615-467-4644 and they’re located in Murfreeboro, TN. (I went to residency with Dr Parker and Dr Salter and I’m a huge fan of all 3 Physicians at this practice!) 

- Afam Ikejiani with Prime Obstetrics and Gynecology.  His number is 615-459-5228 and he is located in Smyrna, TN. I worked with Dr Ikejiani at StoneCrest for almost a decade and he is an incredible surgeon with the sweetest bedside manner. If or when I return to private practice, it will be here, with Dr Ikejiani (just sayin…)

- Mistye Taylor, MD. Her number is 615-223-0200 and she is in Smyrna, TN. 

 

I will continue to provide care via TeleHealth.  I’m continuing to develop that platform and will keep you all posted. 

 

I also want to add a more personal touch to this letter’s closing. Providence was an amazing practice that did amazing work and helped so many people, patients, families of patients, other physicians, my children, and me.  It was started and guided from a non-secular presence and I am so blessed to have been able to take part in so many lifechanging experiences. I am also very excited to see what this next chapter of my life is like!
